Nice gesture from a good friend
A very poor afternoon tea , a cup with a crack right through it . Chipped table which shows a great deal of wear and tear . A very small poor selection of sandwiches, a few more would have helped . The scones were delicious and served warm with plenty of jam and cream. The selection of cakes were also small some cut in half. The place had no atmosphere whatsoever. No plants ornaments just a bare conservatory.The outside was beautiful and very well kept .Once the food had been served we never saw a member of staff throughout the whole of our stay .Would we go again or recommend anyone sadly no .

Lovely afternoon tea
We went to the Best Western Normanton Hotel for afternoon tea on the 18 March. We had been there last week to meet up with friends, so we knew how well we would be looked after. The whole experience was very good with excellent service. I am Gluten Free and although telling them when I booked it when we got there it hadn’t been passed on to the kitchen staff. However it didn’t spoil our afternoon. We had a glass each of ‘bubbles’. The food was very varied and was very tasty. My husband had a selection similar to mine on a separate stand. We had to ask for a box so we could take what we couldn’t eat. So we have some lovely cakes etc still to enjoy. Thank you very much for everything.
