Disappointing Room at 5* Hotel
I was given a voucher for an unusual escape as a Christmas present but as there was nothing suitable in this category we chose to change to a night at the Grand Hotel in Eastbourne. I paid over £100 extra for the upgrade and I was therefore expecting a lovely room. Imagine my disappointment to find a room in need of decoration, with carpet in the bathroom and chipped enamel in the bath. There wasnt even a mini bar and it certainly wasn't what I would expect in a 5* hotel. We had a lovely meal at the hotel and I thought the overall hotel was good but the room was very disappointing ! The final straw was to be woken at 8am by a dog barking in a room across the corridor......

My husband and I stayed at the Grand Hotel in Eastbourne on the final leg of our touring of the South coast. We wanted somewhere a bit luxurious for our last night so we chose the Grand Hotel on Buyagift. It's lovely our room was so comfortable and very nicely decorated. We both enjoyed relaxing in the hotel's pool and jacuzzi - the facilities weren't too busy which was great. Breakfast the next morning was a proper full English very nice indeed!
