Great event, slightly tarnished by the supposed 4 star hotel.
The murder mystery event was well presented, with a number of interesting actors making the evening come alive.
The food was average, but an aside to the evening's entertainment.
The hotel is supposed to be 4 Stars, but had only basic amenities. While the common areas are relatively well presented, once you get to the corridors and rooms it goes down hill. On the way to our room there was peeling wallpaper, and badly chipped door frames. The room itself was a good size, but no power by the bed. The bathroom was in a poor state of repair, with the shower controller missing it's cap and temperature varying. The door frame base had rotted.
I can recommend the murder mystery, but not the hotel.

Murder 57 was a fab night. Actors were really good and stayed in character all night. Great fun.

Overall good entertainment but sometimes hard to hear the conversations due to the microphone not being utilised and one loud table shouting over the actors.

Event cancelled at short notice.. Disappointed.
I booked our night away in January which was due to happen end of August, I received an email from a 3rd party 3 weeks before our stay away stating it was cancelled. We had planned to make a weekend of it and was disappointed our weekend was cancelled at such short notice. I asked for a refund and was told to contact Buy a gift however there are no direct contact details for Buy a Gift and I couldn't get in touch with them and was unable to get a refund. I managed to contact the event organisers and it has been rescheduled for November, we are only staying the one night now as the venue has been changed and due to being November the weather won't be as nice as our original date in August. As it stands we hopefully will be able to use our voucher in November else we would have wasted over £300 on a murder mystery night away and it hasn't gone ahead. What is also annoying is that I've received an email asking how we enjoyed our time away !!! It was cancelled by the organisers and we couldn't go
