One Night Stay with Dinner and Prosecco at Hunton Park

Booking was a disaster. They said date was available and booked then another team member emailed next day to say booking hadn't been completed and was no longer available. Then booking came through for a completely different date which hadn't even been discussed. Day before told limit of meal voucher of £25 and a supplement for the stay because it was a Saturday. None of which is mentioned on buyagift but their reaction was it's up to the venue what stipulations they add to the experience so suck it up. Though a lovely hotel in the outside the rooms were tiny and walls hollow so barely slept as person next door had tv blaring till early hours. Menu available was only a bar menu so limited to burger, steak, a pasta dish or pizza. The steak and pasta dishes were delicious though and the waitress,Lexi was wonderful. Breakfast in the morning was chaotic, so busy, but Lexi was there again, mostly on her own trying to deal with a restaurant full of people. She was racing around trying to please everyone, from seating, to filling up empty food and fixing coffee machines. Rushed off her feet as the other staff, all teens, seemed to be hiding in the kitchen. The breakfast was very good though and Lexis manner saved the trip

We were given this voucher as a Christmas present and recently stayed around Easter. The voucher that came in the gift box stated a "three course dinner". When we arrived in the evening for said dinner, we were told this would just be £25 per person. The average prices of things these days means the £25 didn't go very far and we therefore had to spend over to pay for the remaining meal. Although this is in the very small print of the voucher, this was bought under the pretense of not having to pay extra and have a relaxing night away. I would recommend putting it clearer so people can understand they are being short changed before purchasing.

Staff were amazing and very helpful. The package described was not really adhered to. We were booked in for dinner on arrival however, the menu did not display */additional cost for steak etc. When questioned what was included the manager explained that there was a limit of £25. The package listed a 3 course meal and the limit would not accommodate this. We paid extra for 2 courses. It just left us with an uneasy feeling. I would suggest this is a 3 star hotel with potential; stains on carpet in the room, paint work needs attention, chairs in restaurant were stained and looked dirty, pool roof had many broken slates. Gardens were beautiful.

All accommodation was comfortable, staff were friendly and helpful. Dinner was nothing exceptional, fish and chips was slightly over cooked. Breakfast was adequate.
