About the experience
Enjoy a memorable afternoon out at The Portsmouth Distillery, perfect for gin and rum lovers looking to discover more about how their favourite spirits are made. Set within the historic Fort Cumberland, this unique experience for two takes guests behind the scenes of our working distillery. One of our friendly and knowledgeable guides will lead the tour, sharing the story of The Portsmouth Distillery, the history of our fascinating home and an insight into how we create our range of artisan gin and rum. Following this, guests will head to our historic Powder Magazine to enjoy a guided tasting of a selection of our spirits. They can then choose their favourite to enjoy as a complimentary full-sized drink in our bar.

Wonderful location and fascinating botanics!
The distillery is located in Fort Cumberland a wonderful and very atmospheric setting. The distillery is tiny which makes it a great location as a wedding or party venue.
The distillery also run comedy and music nights which we'll certainly be back to try.

Loved this tour
Our tour guide informed us about the history of Fort Cumberland where the distillery is based. She then showed us the distillery and told us about the Gin and Brandy process. Followed by gin and brandy tasting. The whole talk and tour lasted around 90 minutes. Time was then spent in the distillery bar with a complimentary drink. Lovely Gin and Brandy all made with natural ingredients.

Great few hours
The distillery is located in a part of Southsea I didn't know existed, lots of history which the guide knew all about. The talks we had were informative and fun and the rum tasting was great!
