About the experience

Great gift
The station was full of memorabilia to see, the staff were more than helpful,explained could go on train as many times as we wanted in that day. We had whistle stop cream tea &could take it on the train to eat or in cafe or outside in grounds. Excellent day. Great gift

Enjoyable day out
Spent 4.5 hours here in total and had a thoroughly enjoyable day. Had two trips on the train, each time in a different style of carriage. Had a good look round the workshops, waiting room, other buildings and a really good talk about the workings of the signal box. All the volunteers we met were very helpful and happy. I did not realise that the whole place was started and funded by the artist David Shepherd and there is a carriage with his paintings and information on him which was very interesting.
The café is good with a good choice of food and drink.
Car parking was perfect, a large area immediately outside the entrance and free.
Much better than anticipated.

Great little trip
We enjoyed a l9vely trip on the Mendip Belle, this was a xmas present from our son, the cream teas were great and scones homemade l, fresh and large ! Would recommend this trip.
