Christmas gift
We were given the gift of a midweek meal with two courses at the Brasserie at Sopwell House. It was a beautiful evening and the atmosphere in the restaurant was very relaxed and welcoming. The staff were very helpful and attentive. Although a smaller menu, the food was very good and had generous portions. We both had steak and it was delicious. We decided we'd have a drink on the back terrace which was gorgeous, again the weather helped. The grounds are lovely with a little pond and bridge. We were surprised with the anniversary cake, which was a lovely touch. The hotel itself is welcoming and is nicely decorated - the football shirts along the hall were interesting.

Nice experience
It was a lovely surprise gift which expired twice before we were able to use it. Luckily we were able to extend the voucher for £20 each time. Beautiful venue and great service, but it was disappointing that the menu offered only 3 choices for each course so if you are unable to eat red meat, not keen on fish and wouldn’t entertain butter beans, you are stuck!
