About the experience
Wake up to garden and woodland views at Afon Rhaiadr Country House, where two nights in a classic double room come with continental breakfast each morning and dinner on one evening. This Victorian 5-star country house sits at the foot of Cadair Idris in Snowdonia National Park, so the wild side of Wales begins just beyond the garden gate. Dinner brings courses made with local produce, and you'll have whole days for walking before settling back in come evening.

- Available with dinner on Monday, Wednesday or Saturday evenings only
- Check-in 4pm-10pm, check-out by 10am
- Two-night stay
- Room upgrades to a double, king or superior room are available for an optional supplementary charge per night, including a breakfast upgrade

Perfect short break
The Avon Rhaiadr provided an ideal way to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The welcome was warm and friendly. Our room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. The food was delicious, both evening meal and breakfasts.

Much needed gift!
A christmas gift from parents (which included childcare - not courtesy of buy a gift) and was just what we needed. Great, peaceful accommodation just a short drive to nearest village. Hosts were attentive, accommodating and knowledgeable about the area - felt totally relaxed in their care. Highly recommend.

Lovely Stay
My husband and I have just returned from a fantastic two night stay at Afon Rhaiadr. Gina and Gareth are lovely hosts and make everything extra special for you. The food is cooked to perfection and so homely, breakfast was cooked well and a good portion size too. The rooms are so cosy and the bed is really comfy! Location is great, lots of local walk. 5* thank you!

Idyllic retreat in the heart of Snowdonia National Park
WOW - a beautiful hidden gem. The country house is set in the stunning surroundings of Snowdonia National Park. We were made to feel at home by the lovely warm hosts Gina and Gareth. The room was beautiful and luxurious with home comforts. We had a view of the woodland and could hear the river and birds sing. The house has lots of spaces to relax and explore,
and also the disused railway trail. The candlelit dinner was a special part of our stay, every detail was thought of and the food and service was outstanding. Breakfast both mornings was brilliant, the homemade pancakes were out of this world! Gina and Gareth made an extra special effort and gave my parter a birthday card and chocolates which was very kind. Gina and Gareth are such wonderful hosts and we can't thank them enough for our amazing, memorable stay. A completely relaxing retreat for anyone who wants to escape the city and switch off.
