You’ll get a spacious room decorated in suitably historical style and can freely explore this stunning motte and bailey castle with its Norman keep and attractive grounds. Keen fishermen will love the castle’s fishing spot below the weir on the River Eden and nature lovers will enjoy discovering the countryside around the castle and its estate. - A supplementary fee of £20 per booking per night will apply for overnight stays on Fridays and Saturdays during the months of June and September
- Breakfast can be added for a surcharge of £16.00 per person, a night directly to the supplier.

An interesting stay

The hotel was very good but we couldn't have our meal in the hotel so had to go down into the town. The grounds were not lit and luckily we had a torch as it was pitch black with two cattle grids to get over. In the morning no one came to make breakfast and we had to phone the manager to come and make it. It was a little disappointing as this was a Christmas present for my husband.
