Great weekend. Hotel was perfect. Ideal location.

What a fantastic birthday gift, the murder mystery evening was fully engrossing, the actors were really professional, they played their parts very convincingly and fully included all the guests. All the staff at the hotel were really helpful, friendly and worked really hard until the early hours. The 3 course meal was absolutely delicious, everything really enjoyable. The breakfast was lovely, a real treat to end our overnight stay, we ended up trying everything and going back for more. The whole package was extremely good value for money. We will definitely be booking again

Forresters is set in charming Middleton in lovely Teesdale and near many other attractions such as Raby castle. The rooms are very comfortable with excellent beds, the food is top quality French cuisine at ordinary prices or standard food such as burgers or chilli con carne if you want that instead. The bar is friendly and good value and Franck a great host. If you want quieter rooms away from the bar just ask. This is one of the loveliest and best value places in the UK and Middleton itself is a friendly unspoilt large village still with a wide range of facilities, including several excellent cafes, pharmacy and supermarket, that you wouldn’t normally expect nowadays even in much larger places and where the community is a good mix including of all ages.

I was bought this stay as a gift for my birthday. The hosts were lovely, showed us directly to the pod which we thought was a nice touch rather than letting us navigate ourselves. The facilities were very clean and the pod was clean upon arrival too. Definitely recommend! Will be revisiting.

Wonderful interactive experience engaging with actors, clever plots, and opportunities to mingle with fellow participants.

Myself and my boyfriend stayed for two nights in one of the pods at the beautiful River View Touring Park. The pod itself was awesome, big enough for the two of us and really homely. The owners were fantastic in supplying all the utensils we needed for the BBQ which we had on both nights. The pod has its own TV and cooking facilities too, if the weather isn’t great for BBQ-ing outside. Both nights we sat out and looked at the stars which was very special. The location of River View is perfect, Andy (owner) gave us great insight into all the best places to visit in the surrounding areas. We managed to see the castle of Llansteffan, Carmarthen town and castle and also jump on the Brecon Mountains Steam Railway (which is a must if you visit!). There’s so much to see but we could only fit in a few things in two days. We definitely made some amazing memories! Thanks River View for the experience! Gina & Matt
