enjoyed it very much
the leeming station is preserved as it was in 1927 the weather wasnt the best but the voluntees entertained us on the return with a history of the railwayand the local surrounding

Raily good day out
Wensleydale Heritage railway, what a fantastic nostalgic fun train ride. Even tho we were on a diesel engine it was great all the same. Travel back in time checking out all the old trains & stations ?? I was surprised to be on an Arriva train from Wales was a great surprise ?? ??
I would certainly have a rerun ??????

A GOOD DAY OUT
A rare family trip out. All the staff were very friendly, and keen to relate the history of the station, its staff, and buildings. We were disappointed that the journey does not go to Redmire this year, and was not steam-hauled, but travelled through lovely scenery. Leyburn used to be an attractive town, but now did not cater for Sunday tourists. The cafes which were open were mostly staffed by unfriendly people - not the usual Yorkshire welcome - and the man at Kim's was very rude. Still, we enjoyed the day, and you will experience a true Yorkshire welcome at all parts of the railway.
