Great afternoon tea in a lovely setting So easy to redeem

Lovely location and tea but what really made it were the staff. Because of the atrocious weather we were the only ones there but the Great Haldon even looks wonderful in the rain. The tea was excellent and banter with the Hannah the lovely who served us and the restaurant manager made it a special. Many thanks to you both.

We were gifted a voucher and chose to have afternoon tea at Lifton Hall, a lovely village hotel with lots of character. The dining/pub side is small but nicely laid out. The afternoon tea was delicious and included a lovely hot tomato soup and vegetable spring roll with chilli sauce, which was a nice change to standard afternoon tea. In addition to this there were two lovely sandwiches (cheddar with coleslaw and beef with horseradish), apple crumble with custard, a fruit & pistachio nut cake, a lemon sponge, a carrot cake and of course scones with jam and cream. (Sorry Devon, but we are from Cornwall- if you know you know). We also had an individual bottle of prosecco with a pot of tea. The staff were friendly and the chef was very informative of the ingredients. I would absolutely recommend, it was delicious (and very filling), set in a peaceful location. Already suggested to others and would go again to try the Farmhouse style afternoon tea which includes a pasty ??.
