Days Out for Mum on Mother’s Day

Easy to access and perfect for someone who doesn't want more stuff.

My friends bought me a theatre voucher for my 60th birthday. Although the choice of shows is limited, there were plenty that we wanted to see. The main problem was that we can only go to London on Saturdays and, as you would expect, most of the shows were sold out. The price to upgrade to extend the tickets was crazy so in the end we plumped for Wicked as it was the only show with seats available. Similarly the only seats you could buy with the voucher we had were literally the furthest possible from the stage, and again the price to upgrade was crazy. However we could still see and definitely hear everything. The show itself was incredible- the theatre front of house staff were all lovely and very welcoming and the show was phenomenal. A fantastic gift!!

Despite changeable weather the view was amazing and we really enjoyed our afternoon treat.

THIS experience on its own was great, easy to book. On the day ran really smoothly, but it was a Wednesday so no waiting around, interesting facts and pictures. And around 15 - 20 mins at the top. Only downside was we originally bought this experience with lunch at Searchys at battersea, i checked availability on Searchys website, all times available booked the chimney lift, no problem, went to book Searchys, no availability gor weeks!!! Phoned Searchys no answer, left messages with the promise of a call back.. i week later no call back. Walked past Searchys..... COMPLETELY EMPTY!! Pictures taken for evidence. It then took a great deal of my Birthday up trying to sort out a refund on buy a gift, which despite paying the difference we could only have as a credit on buy a gift. Buyagift shouldn't be selling this experience!!!. No phone number available And when on live chat the operative found availability for a week later at a completely different Searchys , even after I'd explained we were doing on My Birthday... so we are out of pocket twice because we then had to buy lunch at a cost of nearly £50!!!!... we didn't let it ruin my Birthday..... but it very nearly did!!!
