Awful
The whole buyagift experience was terrible. The website is terrible and not intuitive at all, the process is convoluted and the choices poor. On top of it all, there is no value to be had. The exact stay in our particular hotel would have been cheaper if booked direct.

A beautiful gift to receive - a night in a Castle !
We loved our visit to the Castle for my birthday - we had a champagne afternoon tea, a lovely dinner and then somehow fitted in breakfast too. A fantastic castle and grounds. My opportunity to be a princess for a day !

Disappointed with buyagift customer service
Tried to exchange a 2 night stay we received for 1 night and a theatre ticket. When I did it I realised I would have to add way more money to the theatre ticket so reverted back. All within 10 minutes. On the chat I was told I had lost the 2 night stay and now 1 night is the same price....No one to speak to in person. So consequently lost a nights stay and the £299 spent as a gift from our son invalid. Woukd NEVER use buyagift again or recommend to anyone. So disappointed.

Christmas Gift
Stating the obvious, it was a castle and so it was austire, cold and bleak. Our room was functional, nothing more. Plumbing was just adequate. Tea/coffee tray was minimal General standard of service needs some attention, and there was a lack of attention to detail.

Marvelous
Wow what a place, steeped in history a unique experience. Lovely staff, good food bit pricey for wine and beer but otherwise wonderful.
