About the experience
Climb aboard a lovingly restored 1966 Routemaster, fitted out as a retro-style diner, and settle in for a sparkling afternoon tea for two with a glass of prosecco each. As the vintage double-decker winds its way through the city, you'll work through finger sandwiches, thick scones with lashings of cream and jam and sweet pastries, with your choice of tea or coffee alongside. Edinburgh Castle, the Old Town and the Palace of Holyroodhouse all roll past the window, which makes this a far comfier way to see the sights than any walking route.

Poor Afternoon Tea
Went last May on this tour it was great. The food on this tour was not good. Two slices of bread cut into 4 tiny sandwiches between 2 of us with tiny filling portions. Cakes were not fresh obviously from the day before. We were given warm scones but no knife to cut them. I booked this to cheer up a friend who has had a bereavement before Xmas to cheer her up. I told her how good it was last year and that we couldn't finish it. This time we left hungry. I was so disappointed with it. I will not recommend this to family and friends. Its expensive so wasn't worth the money.

Special day treat
Overall excellent. Afternoon tea was presented very well and good quality. Only downside I would say was commentary wasn't very clear so difficult to understand. I would certainly recommend to friends.

Great value. Crew were friendly and helpful. Afternoon tea was varied and fresh. Fizz was freshly poured. Saw parts of the city we hadn't seen before. Included photo opportunity.Would book again.

Such a great experience!
We had such a wonderful afternoon on the Red bus bistro, the set up was so lovely, the afternoon tea was delicious, the music was spot on and chugging along some beautiful sights of Edinburgh was great. Our guide was a lovely funny polish man and a lovely friendly driver who let us take a seat at the wheel for a photo op! I would highly recommend, such a great experience!
