Afternoon Tea in Essex

Lovely tea near Windermere but booking it was a little confusing

I was given the afternoon tea experience as a Mother’s Day gift from my son. We booked at The Beaulieu Hotel in the New Forest. We were the only couple there at 2.30pm. Service was excellent, staff very pleasant, tea served immediately and good brought very soon after. The hotel is pretty and quaint with lovely views of the New Forest ponies grazing close by and the food was very good. Nice selection of sandwiches, warm sausage roll (really tasty), 2 small scones each but they were freshly made, warm and really delicious. In fact they were the star of the show and were served with lashings of fresh clotted cream and jam. There were also 5 other small cakes each…..we had to take some home as we were full! Plenty of tea. Really nice experience all round. Thank you Beaulieu Hotel.

Had a lovely afternoon tea at Patisserie Valerie. The staff were really friendly and attentive, and the whole experience felt relaxed and welcoming. The selection was great too! a nice mix of sweet and savoury treats and everything tasted fresh. Really enjoyed it! Lovely gift

A nice relaxed afternoon tea in pleasant quiet surroundings. My Wife & I compared it with the other afternoon teas we have had. The service & staff were faultless. The only slight downside was the inadequate marking for the disabled parking spaces. (No signage as to their location)....

Was wonderful tea with lots to eat

We went to the slug and lettuce, hanover street - the food was very good and the service was excellent. The afternoon tea was much better than expected instead of just plain bread for the sandwiches it was focaccia and brioche and the dessert was very good quality. Surroundings were clean and beautifully presented. Very instagrammable and modern designs

Absolutely worth every penny. Afternoon tea was one of the best I ve been to. The hotel itself is family run , I didn’t know was there - ok sea front. Decor beautiful , staff so accommodating friendly and clearly love where they work . Definitely going again to tryout the dinner.

My son got me the gift, two course meal for two. Easy to book, great service at the slug and Lettuce, lovely meal. A brilliant idea for a gift

When we arrived here for afternoon tea, we found out I hadn't redeemed my voucher correctly, the lovely lady attending to us was so helpful in fixing our issue, we couldn't fault her, the afternoon tea was very well presented, and looked so inviting when it arrived on our table, have recommended to friends and would definitely visit here again if we came back to london
