Afternoon Tea in York

Lovely old country house in the lake district, ideal location for afternoon tea! Staff was professional, helpful and really friendly.

We went to the slug and lettuce, hanover street - the food was very good and the service was excellent. The afternoon tea was much better than expected instead of just plain bread for the sandwiches it was focaccia and brioche and the dessert was very good quality. Surroundings were clean and beautifully presented. Very instagrammable and modern designs

An extremely delicious afternoon tea with an amazing view. It certainly doesn't get much better than this! The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about the assorted sandwiches and cakes. A perfect treat.

Slug & Lettuce Durham . Booking the table with the voucher QR code was straight forward and without any issues. Booked table for 5:00pm and on arrival we were shown to the table . Staff were good and the young lady explained the menu we were using and the choices relating to our voucher. The menu was not big on choice but we did have a choice of starters and main courses as well as dessert. Having a 2 course dining experience we chose a starter and a main . The starter was very nice and the main course was also very nice . Overall the meal was well presented, hot and tasty. Well worth the voucher cost . Would definitely consider another meal here using the buyagift voucher option.

This was a really good place for afternoon tea. The selection was different from the usual fair, and very welcoming. Would definitely recommend going here.

We had a fantastic day at Shawsgate Vineyard. The tour was extremely informative and the guide was knowledgeable and entertaining. The lunch consisted of cheese, ham, salad and bread with a delicious cheesecake for dessert. There was no choice, but the food was good. The wine tasting involved quite a lot of wine, and we were able to choose a glass of our favourite for lunch - something to consider if you are driving! I would highly recommend this!

Food was brilliant and well served, on a bonus there was live music in the restaurant and a great atmosphere, thank you!

A warm welcome to begin with, a comfortable table with no draughts, very pleasant staff. The food was very tasty and a lovely atmosphere.

Really enjoyed my birthday treat, all the better because our little pooch could come with us and enjoy a walk in beautiful grounds afterwards. A hidden gem…will be going back

This was a lovely experience ... Afternoon Tea in the conservatory with stunning views and an absolutely delicious Afternoon Tea. The tour was brilliant too, such fun and so informative. A gift that I will remember for a long time.
