Afternoon Tea in North West England

Made to feel welcome on arrival. Staff friendly. Afternoon tea was very nice with attention to my husband who does eat cheese. Plenty of clotted cream and jam for fluffy scones.

The food during the afternoon tea was different. No boring sandwiches here. The savouries were amazing, all with so many fancy elements, and the cakes were beautiful. I really thought I was on Masterchef the Professionals - except these were better. Shout out to the chefs, and also to Yara our very friendly and attentive waitress. A really lovely experience all round and we will be back.

My boyfriend and I were given this voucher for Christmas and decided to use it in Bath on Good Friday. It felt like a real treat! In the S&L, the staff were attentive, and the food was delicious and plentiful. We also had two soft or hot drinks included. Highly recommended!

This was first class from welcome to finish. The food was excellent the staff were lovely and nothing too much trouble. One of the best afternoon teas we’ve had. And we have had quite a few.

We went to the slug and lettuce, hanover street - the food was very good and the service was excellent. The afternoon tea was much better than expected instead of just plain bread for the sandwiches it was focaccia and brioche and the dessert was very good quality. Surroundings were clean and beautifully presented. Very instagrammable and modern designs

Having the afternoon tea in the castle setting, nestled amongst the woods was fantastic! The tea itself was lovely- very good quality and just the right amount. The service was great- the waitress who was attending to us was friendly and very professional. Would highly recommend.

We had a lovely time cruising leisurely down the canal with Mark, our very friendly, knowledgeable guide. The afternoon tea was tasty and filling. We stopped half way for a lesson and demonstration on the use of locks and then returned to our starting point. We saw lots of wildlife on the trip and enjoyed the peace and quiet of the canal. Delicious offering from Harry Ramsden’s. Plenty of food including fish and chips, mushy peas, fish cake, tartare sauce, mini prawn cocktails and crayfish tails served on small brioche buns. The beef croquettes were not available but we were offered a choice of one of four alternatives. Dessert was a ramekin of clotted cream ice cream with a strawberry, plus two strawberry macarons. Drinks included in the offer are a choice between tea, coffee, water or soft drinks. We chose the Blackpool restaurant that is well set out. Overall it was an afternoon tea with a difference that we both enjoyed and we definitely didn’t leave hungry!
